The National Museum Of Mexican Art was established by Carlos Torrolero in 1982. Its present building in the Harrison Park opened in March 1987. The museum is a showcase of the culture and arts of Chicano, Latino and Mexican. This is the only Mexican museum to receive an accreditation from the American Association of Museums. The museum showcases a permanent exhibit of the artworks of Mexican artists and Mexican historical artifacts.
